FAY shared the logo design, branding and visual identity project for Harmonic, a leading software platform that indexes critical and current startup data, is changing the game for investors, venture capitalists, partners, and influential firms. With over 6 million startups and 110 million professional profiles updated daily, it is a vital database for those seeking transparency and equity in the startup universe. Harmonic’s mission is to provide essential and up-to-date information, delivering changes as they happen. The company’s Chrome extension reveals a company’s funding history, team growth, and more, providing users with valuable insights.

In 2022, Harmonic enlisted the help of FAY to take the platform to the next level of growth. The team worked to reimagine Harmonic’s strategic positioning, messaging, visual identity, accompanying system, and website. The resulting work is underpinned by a researched precision and bold, dynamic visual language that seamlessly applies to motion graphics.

The mark itself evokes an abstract letter ‘h’ for Harmonic and represents the company’s three key product differentiators. The forms meet at the center, a nod to their expansive network of data that users can navigate across multiple dimensions. Harmonic’s colorful visual identity is showcased in OOH concepts that riff off the platform’s ability to deliver robust, hyper-focused results.

The core typeface, Beausite Classic, is neo-grotesque with a geometric twist, making it a perfect match for the startup sector. Harmonic’s vibrant, neon brand colors allow the company to assertively stand out in the world of tech. The visual identity system was applied to everything from the website to motion graphics, sales collateral, campaign concepts, and social media.

In conclusion, Harmonic’s reimagined visual identity and accompanying system is a prime example of the power of design to elevate a brand and communicate its unique value proposition. The company’s dynamic visual language and bold mark reflect the nature of the industry it serves, providing a seamless and intuitive experience for its users. Harmonic is poised to continue its growth trajectory, thanks in part to the expert design work done by FAY.
